Abhayangham Ayurvedic Oil Massage

€85.00

Abhayangam Ayurvedic oil massage is considered a rejuvination in Ayurveda and should (ideally) be done every day.

In Abhayangam we use warm oil over the entire body. One of the words for oil in Sanskrit is sneha, which also means love. By massaging oil into the body, we are massaging love into the body. By both firm and gentle flowing touch the body is brought into a state of relaxation.

Some benefits of this massage include rejuvenation, relaxation, nourishment of the tissues, improved blood circulation, anti-aging, the release of toxins and many more.

Abhayangam massage is known to be beneficial for the following conditions:

- Stress
- Anxiety
- Insomnia
- Lower back pains (such as hernia, Slipped disc, Shiatica)

- Joint pain
- Burn out / tiredness
- Parkinsons

Together we will determine which will be the main areas of focus for your massage session.
I work with a variety of oils as the choice of oil depends on the curretn state of your body and any underlying issues you are looking to support. These can include strong medicinal oils but this is always optional and will be discusses beforehand with. We also carve out some time to set an intention for your massage session.
