Nukini Samauma

This rapé is made from tobacco  and the ashes of the great samauma. Samauma is the most sacred tree to the Nukini, which is not to be cut. Only bark that falls from the tree is used. In the trunk of the samauma, several animals make their home, they raise their young there and receive energy from it. When some pajés (medicine men) disincarnate they are buried at the foot of the samauma where all the energy of their wisdom circulates. Samauma holds the energy of growth, bringing new thoughts, concentration, elevation and wisdom and is seen as holding the mystery and great force of nature.

The Nukini, tribe of the Jaguar, are a small community. Their rapé is known to be quite strong, fresh and pure. They have many different rapés with added medicinal plants serving specific purposes.
