Work with Kambô

Fill in the application form to apply for working together with me in a Kambo ceremony.
I need this information to make sure you are suitable for the work with Kambo, and to inform you about any additional preparation for your specific situation. There is no such thing as too much information when it comes to kambô, but there can be too little.
Please be elaborate in your answers.

If you are looking to experience multiple sessions with kambô please mention this in your form.
If you've sat with me before, I do ask you to fill in the form again as your situation might have changed over time.

Preparations

While there are certain things to avoid and practical aspects to adhere to in the time leading up to the ceremony, Kambô also invites you to reflect upon and contemplate before the session. Why do you feel called to the frog? What are your intentions? What are you looking to release, and what are you looking to bring in? Does the reason you're coming to ceremony revolve around the physical, emotional, mental, energetic or spiritual?

The Kambô frog is also called the great revealer, and it's likely that it will eventually seek out, find, and dig up any old stuff that has been buried within. Kambô can be an incredibly intense experience. It can be helpful to focus on your breath, and let your breathing be your anchor, during your treatment. For this reason a regular meditation practice can be of support both in preparation as well as during the treatment.

Practical preparations include:

- Do not attempt any sort of fast 7 days before or after Kambô.
- Do not begin any colonics, enemas, water based detox, liver flushes or sweat lodge 3 days before or after Kambô.
- Do not take recreational drugs or drink alcohol 24 hours before or after Kambô.
- Do not eat any food 12 hours before Kambô. It's important to fast for these 12 hours immediately prior to a Kambô treatment.
- Do not drink coffee or other caffeinated drinks such as yerba maté on the morning of your treatment.
- Do not drink large amounts of water or fluid on the morning of your Kambô treatment. This is for your own safety.
- You can drink a hot tea on the morning of your Kambô treatment, and sip on small amounts of water.
Do not add honey. This can disturb your electrolyte balance.
- It is important to avoid drinking excessive water beforehand, to avoid electrolyte imbalance,
potentially lead to hyponatremia (dangerously low sodium levels).
- Stop all fluid intake 2 hours prior to your Kambô treatment.
- You will be required to drink 1.5-2L of water 10-15 minutes immediately before the Kambô is applied, as part of the purging process.

- Wear loose, comfortable clothing on the day of your Kambô treatment. Layers are always good, due to the potential flux in body temperature. Make sure your pants and sleeves are easy to roll up (sleeves to above the shoulder).
- Remove tight, restrictive jewellery before your Kambô treatment, due to the potential swelling of body parts.
- Try to make little to no plans for the remainder of your day after your treatment. You may need to rest and recuperate.
- There is a possibility that we work with rapé or sananga as well. It will not be possible to receive sananga when you are wearing contacts or when having serious trouble with the eyes.

If you are unsure about the preparation protocol, have any questions or concerns, please get in touch and ask prior to ceremony.

Private ceremony

In a private ceremony you get to experience working with kambô in a one-to-one setting. You have my full and undivided presence and care by your side during the entire process. Often people report that this allows them to go deeper into their personal process than in a group setting. When wanting to work on specific (health) issues or when looking to do a prolonged series of sessions with the medicine I advice you to come for a 1:1. I have more space for you personally, to deepen into your intentions together and to find a way of working that targets the desired areas.

A private ceremony lasts around three hours and includes the following:

- pre-ceremony suitablity assesment and preparation info.

- consultation, deepening of intention setting and discussing the way of working that targets your desired areas.

- information on kambo and a comprehensive overview of the process.

- setting sacred space and drop in meditation

- the ceremony

- a nourishing light organic meal

- integration and aftercare advice

Ceremonies are held in my home temple in Amsterdam Noord. The location is reachable by bike and public transport and also has free parking available.
Please make sure to be on time for your scheduled session. Take into account a time window of about three hours for the whole ceremony when 1:1, and about five hours for group sessions.

If wanted it is also possible for me to come to your home for a treatment. Depending on where you are located the additional costs for this vary. Please reach out to discuss the options if this has your interest.

Group Ceremonies

If you are new to kambo and curious of what the medicine might be able to do for you I warmly welcome you to a group ceremony. In a group setting I have less personal attention for each participant to go into the depths, but I ofcourse create a moment to drop into your intention and to share these within the group. The shared field of the group adds a different layer to this work,. Witnessing others in their proces and hearing other people share about their experience often brings insight or clarity to the other people in the group as well.

Locations for group ceremonies may vary. When a ceremony is scheduled you will find the exact location mentioned as well as the amount of participants that the space allows for.

I am open to facilitate group ceremonies for you if you have put together a group yourself. This can be friends or family, or even coworkers. It can be a bonding experience in a whole new way to experience such a deep process together. Reach out to discuss the options.
